200 Amp Multiple Use Diversion Regulator

Use with either wind or solar power systems

This regulator can be used with dump loads that are up to 2400 watts. This makes it ideal for systems that have several wind generators or a combination of wind and solar.

Wind generators need to always have a load on them to prevent overspeeding. By using a diversion regulator you can keep the batteries from overcharging while still pulling power from the wind generator. These regulators can also be used with solar panels. This also allows you to use the excess power from your solar panels instead of simply turning off the power and wasting your peak hours of sunlight.

It acts as a switch to turn on your diversion load (dump load) when the voltage of the batteries are getting high. The regulator will switch on somewhere between 13-13.9 volts and will turn off again at close to the same voltage. We can also make them for 24 volt systems.

You can use 12 volt lights, 12 volt water heating coils, 12 volt heaters, anything in 12 volt with this regulator. If you are using a 24 volt system then you would use 24 volt lights, 24 volt water heating coils etc. We carry the water heating coils for 12 volt. You can use 2-12 volt water heating coils for 24 volt. Use with a micro grid tie inverter to dump extra power from the batteries back in to the power lines.
