Neodymium Ring Magnet -- Cost $65 -- Use this very powerful neodymium magnet with the stator above to turn your GM alternator in to a Permanent Magnet Alternator which can be used in a wind generator. Available in 12 volt, 24 volt and 48 volt. Please specify voltage so that we send you the correct magnet wire.

Includes 16-1/2” diameter stator winding plate and discs, with stainless steel nuts and bolts, high heat copper magnet wire to wind one stator and instructions for winding your own stator. To protect from the elements you will need to purchase fiberglass resin and paint from your local hardware store to brush on one coat to the stator plate. This will help to protect the coils and the wood from the elements and will also help to hold the copper wire in place. This resin is very easy to use, but should be used in a well ventilated place. We do not sell the resins due to the high cost of shipping chemicals. However it is available at any hardware store. After the coat of resin had cured you will use your favorite primer and paint to complete the protection of the stator and to customize the look by using your favorite color.

Includes one stator wound here in our shop. This is the same stator that we use in our Mallard SP73 wind generators. You can use this stator to build your own axial flux wind generator. Mike will wind the stator, using support discs and stainless steel bolts. This will help prevent cogging to allow the wind generator to turn easily in the lightest of breezes. Stator will come to you already coated with protective resin.
