Our Quick Charge PMA is capable of producing over 50 amps per unit. However to protect the PMA try to keep the production to 35 amps. The bridge rectifier will last longer when keeping the amps at 35 or below. With 35 amps you can very quickly charge the battery bank on your off grid power system. You can even use the Quick Charge PMA to charge the batteries on your car. Use a portable engine such as a lawn mower to easily move the Quick Charge PMA to where ever you may need to use it, or mount it to a stationary stand and use with a small engine to top off the batteries storage system when there is not enough wind or sun to keep it fully charged. Stores such as Harbor Freight sell small engines that work perfectly with our Quick Charge PMA, at a very affordable price or you can even use an old lawnmower or power washer engine. If using with an old lawn mower make sure that you remove the blades before attaching the belt to the pulley.
The Quick Charge PMA is designed to use with high RPMs. It is perfect to use with a small 3-1/2 to 5 HP engine. With most engines you will use a 1:1 ratio between pulleys. This allows the quick charge PMA to very quickly charge the battery pack without using the large amounts of fuel that are required by large back up generators. Some of our customers use a slightly larger engine and run two Quick Charge PMAs at the same time so that they can get double the amperage.
How many times have you had to run a large fuel hungry generator for the entire evening or even the entire day, just to run a few lights or maybe the refrigerator or television? With the quick charge PMA you simply run a small engine long enough to fully charge the batteries. Then use the power from the batteries when you need the power. There is no need to run a large generator just to power a few lights. The small engine uses less gas and is run only long enough to charge the batteries.
