To help reduce the shipping cost we give the option of purchasing the Mallard 800E without the tail piece. The tail has to ship in a seperate package. By not shipping the tail it can greatly reduce the shipping cost. If you want this option we will also reduce the cost of the Mallard 800E by $10 and we will give you the dimensions of the tail so that you can build your own.  E-mail to tell us what country you are in and we will give you the shipping cost.

WIND GENERATORS

Mallard 800E - Our most economical 800 Watt Wind Generator. Only $525.00. This is a very economical 800 Watt Wind Generator. It has 6 carbon fiber blades with an aerodynamic design. The permanent magnet alternator has a very strong neodymium magnet, specially wound stator, new bearings and has been remanufactured from a GM alternator for maximum performance. Charges batteries in as low as 10 MPH winds. Our wind generators will start out at around 10MPH winds producing around 40 watts. The power will quickly increase as the wind speeds increase. Wind generators are usually rated at peak power which is when the generator will kick out of the wind and will stop producing usable power. However our wind generators are made to stay in the wind and can be used in winds up to 100MPH. So we rate our generators lower than the peak production. They are rated at 40MPH/800watts but they will produce much more than the rated power if the winds are higher.

It has been tested in 100 MPH winds and stands safe and sound. If your batteries are fully charged, our diversion regulators can divert the excess power to a useful load such as a water heating coil. This system has a fixed tail. Our systems are basic and reliable. Less electronic parts mean less to break down. This model has a simple wire tension design so no slip rings are needed. That means there are no slip ring failures. This generator will mount to any 1½" schedule 40 pipe. Be sure to guy wire it well so that your tower does not come down. It is a 59" diameter generator. Even though these blades are made of carbon fiber they are very sharp and can move very quickly in the wind causing severe injury.

To keep costs down our generators now come to you with an UNpainted tail. The tail is made of galvanized steel and should stand up to all weather conditions. It simply won't be red like our pictures show. The frame and PMA will still be painted.

As with any wind generator take ALL safety precautions. Only work on putting up your wind generator during low or no winds. Use at your own risk.
